Growing up on the "Westside" of Los Angeles, I
could see the tower lights of "Boss Radio" 93/KHJ
when they ruled the Southern California airwaves
beginning in 1965. I had already been bitten by
the radio "Bug" listening to KFWB and KRLA. I
made a career of it for over 25 years "Moving
from town to town, up and down the dial." I'm
working outside the industry now. This is my way
of keeping a "Hand in", but this time I'm the
boss. By the way, in the late '80s, KHJ became
KRTH and played a format they called, "Smokin'
Oldies". I'm playing the same music, so I
figured, "What the heck!" - Big Bad
